July 8th, 2010 11:35 pm

Hawaii and the Caribbean are popular choices for a honeymoon cruise vacation, especially for winter weddings. The main advantage of booking a honeymoon cruise to Hawaii or the Caribbean for your luxury honeymoon vacation is that with a cruise you get to see several of these fabulous islands, rather than just one.

The Honeymooner’s Review Guide puts Hawaii as the number one destination for luxury honeymoons and the dramatic coastline, white sandy beaches and colourful Hawaiian culture weave their own spell in this idyllic honeymoon destination, making it a dream honeymoon to remember. A honeymoon cruise vacation to the Caribbean is equally appealing and for Europeans is a much shorter flight to Miami to embark. With guaranteed sunshine and a quiet beach in almost every port, a luxury cruise vacation is a great way to spend the first weeks of married life.

Booking a honeymoon voyage vacation is very easy using one of the honeymoon cruise packages. Many cruise lines also offer a wedding
ceremony package. It is worth comparing the different options and choosing the best value for you. Some cruise lines offer all-inclusive
honeymoon cruise vacations including romantic extras such as champagne in the cabin and a complimentary honeymoon gift. Carnival Cruises offer a complimentary wedding cake for those booking a honeymoon cruise vacation, along with flowers, chocolates and cabin decorations.

However tables for two are pretty limited. Celebrity Cruises offers honeymoon cruise packages for an additional fee which includes breakfast in bed, champagne, souvenir engraved flutes, flowers, bathrobes and chocolates, making this a week-long dream honeymoon cruise vacation.Holland America Line has so many honeymooners on board that it hosts a complimentary Honeymooners Party at sea and couples receive a honeymoon certificate. The package also includes flowers and a silver keepsake photograph frame. As you would expect from this specialist in luxury honeymoons, tables for two are guaranteed.

Although cruises typically have up to 3000 passengers on board, honeymooners can easily find their own quiet space. Upgrading your cabin may be part of certain honeymoon cruise packages. With your own private balcony, table and sun loungers, it is the perfect space to enjoy private dinners beneath the stars on room service, leisurely late breakfasts delivered to your cabin or a quiet place to read and sunbathe. Lounge bars have comfortable seating and during the day you can have the space almost to yourself. Days in port also mean you can enjoy the ship’s pool in relative peace.

Another big plus on a honeymoon cruise vacation is the wonderful spa treatments available on board with some of the best views on the ship, but you need to book early. Enjoy a relaxing massage, or treat your loved one to his or her favourite beauty treatment as a surprise. A ship’s spa has all the latest technology to provide deep facials, superb Swedish massages, hot stone treatments and reflexology. Expensive but worth it is the general consensus of opinion.

Days ashore on Caribbean islands are a great opportunity for a relaxing couples massage on the beach in a private cabana. The sea breeze,
rustling palm leaves and soothing sounds of the gentle waves are all part of this blissful experience.Wherever you choose to visit on your dream honeymoon cruise vacation it is sure to be a great start to a lifetime together.

Honeymoons are a memorable event in one’s life; they are the start of a new life with your loved one. Imagine waking up to the romantic view of a sundrenched tropical island, having a lazy breakfast on your own private balcony. A honeymoon cruise vacation can provide make that dream a reality. Cruising is becoming more and more attractive to newlyweds as a cruise can offer that truly romantic honeymoon.

There are numerous cruise lines offering a variety of packages ranging from smaller ships carrying fewer passengers to the larger ships. For instance SeaDream cater for a smaller number of couples and boast a high crew to passenger ratio thus affording a luxury honeymoon cruise vacation. All the popular cruise lines offer honeymoon packages and go that extra mile to make your honeymoon cruise a memorable and romantic period in your life.

Cruises come in many forms. Some will pack in as many locations as possible in seven, ten or fourteen days. Others will steam for a couple of days or more then spend a full day in harbour or drop anchor in a bay an give you the opportunity to go ashore or just relax on deck or on your private balcony. Another thing to consider is the size of the ship. A smaller ship can venture where the large cruise ships cannot go so offering the opportunity to visit those quiet and often romantic locations

Do you want a busy or a quiet honeymoon? The large cruise ships offer nightly entertainment with either live shows or a night club where you can dance the night away mingling with the masses. Perhaps you might prefer the smaller intimate cruise ship which will offer those romantic candle lit dinners with exquisite wines and superb service. As mentioned above the size of ship will dictate the locations you go to. There are some beautiful picturesque islands in the Caribbean some of which do not offer facilities for the large cruise ship. There is nothing more exciting than dropping anchor is a small bay and waiting to board a tender to take you to a small jetty where you can jump off and take a fairy tale stroll along a palm lined beach, perhaps pick up a coconut as a souvenir or have a cocktail under a cabana.

Beautiful Wedding Blossoms on a Budget

Trying to plan a beautiful wedding on a budget can be a challenge. There is one area where making smart choices can dramatically decreases costs without sacrificing style: the flowers. Take a look at these top tips for getting beautiful wedding blossoms on a budget.

Stay in Season. You may have heard this before, but it bears repeating. What do you think will be more cost effective: flying in hundreds of out-of-season blooms from South America, or picking ones which your florist can source locally? A good florist will be able to help you choose flowers which have a similar look or style to your out-of-season favorites. Keep in mind that flowers which are at their peak season will also tend to be lusher and hardier. As my florist told me when I requested tulips for my October wedding, “I can get them, but I can’t guarantee that you will like how they look when they get here”.

Downsize Ceremony Bouquets. There has been a trend in recent years towards giving small nosegays to the mothers and grandmothers of the
bride and groom rather than the traditional corsage. It is lovely, but it also increases the number of flowers you must buy. When funds are tight, stick to corsages for the mothers and grandmothers and omit extra ones for extended family members. You can even think about giving each bridesmaid a beautiful wrist corsage in lieu of a bouquet. Choose a corsage which complements the style and colors of the bridesmaid jewelry sets so that all the accessories work in harmony.

Reuse Ceremony Flowers. Those gorgeous arrangements you used to decorate the altar? Don’t just leave them in the church, move them to your reception site! Just as you try to pick sets of bridesmaid jewelry which can be worn again, insist on the same versatility in your floral
arrangements. If your bridesmaids carried bouquets, you can also use them to decorate the reception tables. Have extra vases waiting for them at the reception and simply pop the bouquets in for extra centerpieces that won’t cost you anything extra. Bouquets and altar flowers can also be used to decorate the other tables in a reception, such as the guest book and gift tables, favor tables, the bar, and even the ladies’ room.

Pick a Pretty Location. If you book an empty loft for your wedding, you will have to spend a fortune to bring in enough decorations to make it beautiful. On the other hand, if you have your wedding in a space which is naturally gorgeous like a garden or state park, most of the decorations will be built in, sparing you the cost of bringing in mountains of blossoms. Another tip is to have your wedding in a place which will be decorated for a holiday. Many churches have wreaths and potted flowers on display for much of the Christmas season, which could mean that you do not have to bring in a single thing. Also check with restaurants and hotels in your area to see which ones might have seasonal decorations in place during the holidays.

Limit Your Color Palette. When you want to get the most bang for your buck, limit your centerpieces and bouquets to one or two colors. This will give each arrangement more impact with fewer blossoms. As a bonus, ordering in bulk will help your florist get a better rate on the cut flowers, a savings which can be passed along to you. In fact, having a limited color palette is a budget-friendly design tip which can be used to trim costs throughout your entire wedding. When used in combination, you will be delighted to see how making a few small changes can add up to big savings.
