Planing a wedding
♫ Monday, January 7th, 2008Planning a wedding can be demanding both mentally and physically; there are so many details to take care of. A vital wedding task is choosing and sending out invitations to friends and family members. Couples sometimes underestimate the importance of wedding invitations; like the wedding, it is important to give wedding invitations adequate attention. If you are not sure how to word your wedding cards here are a few tips.
You should plan your invitations well in advance; order your wedding invitations well before the wedding. Ideally, you should order the wedding invitations at least 4 weeks before you plan on posting them. If you have a list of guests based on the ceremony you want to invite them for, you should have separate cards printed for each ceremony. For example, if you want to invite family ‘A’ for the reception but not for the wedding, make sure you have two sets of cards printed (one set for the reception and one set for the wedding). As mentioned earlier, everyone appreciates a personalized card, if possible send each wedding card out with a handwritten note. You might end up missing a few people on the wedding list; make sure you order extra wedding cards to cater to any last minute additions to the wedding list. Also, if you are sending cards to bachelors/single people, make sure you add “and guest” at the end of the invitation. Before posting the wedding cards, make sure they have invitations, response cards, envelopes, wedding programs included. It is important to give yourself some time to mail out the wedding invitations. To avoid any last minute rush, mail out the wedding invitations well in advance this will give people time to prepare for the wedding.
